i have some copied games that i have burned onto disk a while ago and was using swap magic to play, but i have just got hd advance 2.0 is there any way of putting the burned games on to the hard drive or do i need the originals, i may still have the images on the pc somewhere if i have what would i need to transfer the image from here to the ps2 harddrive.

alright dd, first get winhiip. hopefully you have an external hd enclosure. put your ps2's hd in there (make sure you set that drive to "slave"). hook that enclosure up to your pc and start winhiip. its an easy program to use. youll see all options right there. if not check the readme. you can use backups or originals even iso's. when you are done just return the drive to "master" and put it back in your ps2. start hd advance and your set.

Yeah use Winhiip. It's a bit of pain as you have to taxi your PS2 HD to your PC and hook it up through the network adapter. Set it as a slave and transfer games with Winhiip, very fast. Your alternative is to use HD Loader directly to save games to the HD, but that's slow, an hour or so.

Converting your own legal *Backup Disc/Import Game Disc Please follow the steps below so as to convert backup disc / import game disc to PS2 HDD.

Boot your console with HDAdvance. Using the CD version for CD backups/imports and the DVD version for DVD backups/imports.

Choose ?Convert? in the ?Option? menu.
When the system asks for the game disc, please use the Slide Tool or Flip Top Cover to swap for backup.

Press ?X? when you are finished.

*Slide Tool or Flip Top Cover is needed for converting backups/imports

Yeah I didn't think about that, but yeah he'd need some means of booting his backup to save it to HD.
