if its a psp game YES
if you have psp 1.5 firmware
if you install game loaders such as devhook on your psp copy the iso to your memory stick/ISO folder.
if it has f1/f0 folders just copy em to your memory stick then run it through game/memory stick/"game title".
your topic doesnt give much info for us to help you better
please take time to add some info such as
game title (with file extension better).

I have 2.71 im trying 2 get dev hook on it and when i try 2 open it, it goes 2 the data is corrupted. I need help all im trying 2 do is play downloaded games

you cant use homebrew on 2.71, sorry. youll have to wait for a downgrader to come out or get the modchip.

True supastar and iPirate but you never know do ya, could be the case with the 2.5 and 2.6 both fw worked with the same downgrader fortunately which could be the case with 2.7/2.71, But wel just need to wait and see. Supastar why aint you got a sig, like a pic or anything?

backup loading is only available for psp 1.5 firmware.
i have said this to a lot of people and will gladly repeat it to you.
you can either wait and wish for a downgrader to be released or the better solution is to sell your psp now and buy 1.5 psp or at least a downgradable one.
2.1/2.5/2.6 psp's will requires you the unpatched version of GTA LCS umd (valid only for [boldNON - TA-082 [IC1003] psp models).so you can exploit and downgrade to 1.5
2.0 can easily be downgraded to 1.5
1.0 can easily be upgraded to 1.5
1.5 - has everything on homebrew, yes even playing backups.
UP Mod-chip - purpose is to give you 2 firmwares on 1 psp (1.5 and the latest firmware) but not many people can even open their psp and change faceplate much less solder some tiny wires.

I never insinuated there was a downgrader. Damn dude. Although there will be one one day. Maybe not for 2.7 or 2.71. But there will be an exploit found somewhere sometime in either those two firmwares or a higher firmware. Incase you dont remember there was thousands of people protesting a 2.6 downgrader would never be possible but look where were at today eh?

Yes, but people weren't already talking about a downgrader RIGHT after the firmware actually came out. Here, everybody is like a downgrader, a downgrader.
Most, not all, of them have no idea what they're talking about.
They don't understand that an exploit has to be found in the actual firmware. Then you have to get Flash0 Access, and then you have to make the actual downgrader program.
I know some of you know this already. I'm just restating it for some users.

Probably not. 3.0 will be out in a few months, and everyone will be focusing then on that firmware.

Supastar i dont wana argue with you but you never know mate, some dude could be half way through the downgrade process and sure as hell he aint gonna abandon it to work on the 3.0, when that FW is released there will still be lots of members with 2.7 fw

Do you know how easy it is to encrypt somethin?. Sony could've changed everything before the 2.7 firmware upgrade.
Not to mention you have to find an exploit in the ACTUAL FIRMWARE. Excluding GTA on 2.6, there was never another exploit discovered. Now that that is patched, you need to find a whole new one. Being that 2.6 never had another exploit, I highly doubt 2.7 will either.
