it has come to my attention than most people here dont even bother to ask whether the PSP to dowgrade is not a TA-082 (IC1003) version.
so there will be chances that if the person didnt check, he might end up bricking his psp. please be noted as of july 30,2006 psp with IC1003 marking CANNOT be downgraded or there is a chance you'll just brick it.
if you have this model please be advised to wait for a more stable release of a downgrader.

2.5/2.6 with no marks, follow downgrade instructions carefully and you should in the 1.5 world.

yeah thats very true, i have a friend that downgraded a ta-082 model and it didnt brick. But yes be very carefull
