hello all,

ive made a backup of fnt 3 and did all of the rebuilding and stuff, i burnt the iso at 16x, and now when i play the dvd it only shows the loading screen and it sounds like my laser is misreading the dvd. do you think 16x is over kill for fnt 3?

keep in mind ive burnt at least two 16x ps2 dvds and they work fine the load screens seems to be a little faster too.

I had same problem but as a noon(me)I learn that you don't need to rebuild the game just rip ondvd decrypter and burn on good media I used verbatim DVD-R or even sony DVD-R they work great if you do decide to rebuild I would still recommend great medai there's a thread about media and also if you get good media get it at 8x and burn a half which 4x on Nero, dvd decryptor, or Alcohol 120 it all about what works best for you on software and you ps2(good media).

you should use lower writing speeds for ps2 games. i use 4x because its not to slow or to fast.

I have a modchip, but I had the same problem with FN3, it was loading slow and freezing at some points. Burn at 2x or DL a different ISO file as sometimes its a bad file

"do you think 16x is over kill for fnt 3? "

16x is hard to handle for the ps2. That's why you need to get some quality DVDs that are 8x and burn them at 4x.

"ive made a backup of fnt 3 and did all of the rebuilding and stuff"

Unless a game is too big to fit onto the DVD you don't need to rebuild; which means you don't need to rebuild FNT.

ok well i burnt the iso again at 6x (seems like alchol doesnt allow my burner other speeds other than max, 6x, and 2x) i put it in and the same thing happens i might need better quailty dvds as i have the maxell...anyways i also noticed that theres a yellow flash or some kind of light flash that happens when i only put in fight night, does anyone else encounter that flash of light from the ps2?

What's the Media on those Maxell's?

91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/
Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
