Hey guys, Just wondering how i can play the umd of gta liberty stories on my psp 1.5 without having to update my psp firmware.

download devhook. the link is in my sig. after u download it post back an I will tell you the settings needed to run it.

download devhook, which emulates later firmware so u can play games that require anything above 1.5! i havent got the link to hand, but go on psp-hacks.com or pspupdates.gj.net and u can dl devhook frm there. also theres a devhook tutorial that is stickied i think so just search Ad FOR THT

@HEX your always helping ppl out. I dont knw if you remember me, but you helped me the other night on getting the iso of loco roco working by using devhook 0.45.

I have it on already. What do i do to play the umd of gta liberty stories.

Ja i remember you. :) Change UMD Select to say UMD Disc and you should be good to go. post back if u have probs.

Movies I dont think are a problem because i dont think movies require certain firmwares to run. I could be wrong tho.

strange! maybe sonys being just as tight with movies as they are with the games :( but u shud b able to play it when u emulate 2.6 or 2.7, same settings as for gtalcs

Yeah just emulate the firmware 2.71 and tell it to boot the UMD then. that is friggin weak they did that with UMDS tho. Sorry i was wrong on that one tho :)

Ye it works now.Thanks guys. But yeah even umd movies now are asking to update the firmware pretty tight by Sony. Oh well it works.

@Hex off topic do u know why loco roco iso using devhook freezes when i reach world 3, therefore i can only play any level only with the first 2 worlds. You know the remedy for this?

Aye thats a bad rip kind of. Its because of the prx swap. You're going to have to find the one thats been untouched.

HOw would i know if its the untouched version. The one i have is over 400MB.well i guess i just have to find the iso which is bigger than 400mb.

By the way now i can sell my 2nd psp(1.5) as i only bought that coz i freaking upgraded my firmware on my oringal psp to 2.5.

But i bought GTA liberty stories umd today so i got my 1.5 again.
Ill prb sell it on ebay.

I got the iso of loco roco working. It no longer freezes when loading up world 3.

I found the site to use ppfmatic to patch the iso file.
