I have found that a few other people are also experiencing this problem so i thought i would make a new post in hope that someone can find a solution,

i have the original disc of Final fantasy X but it has been so badly damaged that it will not be read by my computer, so i downloaded a backup image which is a good backup(sorry not supposed to talk about warez) but for some reason about 20 mins in when a video is supposed to load it doesnt and the game locks up but the music keeps playing,

for all others who know what i am on about, the part where auron says look and the vid of tidus looking up at sin is supposed to start but it doesnt.

any ideas, of course i cannot check it out as my original is too badly damaged to be read by computer, i am not sure if it is because of the bad copy or weather it is my poop media, but i doubt it is the media if many others are having the same problem at the same part.

gonna be bad discs/burn whats dvds you useing cos trust me ive worn out my orgnial and the back paying that game

that freeze only happens when u use cheap discs.I used tesco dvd's and it froze(when i started out doing ps2 backup's).I now use much better such as my fav sony and it gets past the scene as like on the original.

boobooman - yeah same.ive played it for 29 hours.Still cant get past the 3rd stage of Yunalesca.

thank you very much, i know i am using very poor media but i dint think it would bother it that much sinse it was reading DVD's fine and it was also playing fine up to that point but thank you for the help.

no prob.If u do get past that bit it also stalls on the fmv when seymour unleashes is aoen.(again by using poor media)
