TTRUUUST ME dont do this, i went to do it cause i was really eager to downgrade, and like the instructions said, pull out mem stick at 0 percent, and i did, then inserted memory stick 2, and It said , please reinsert correct Memory stick and i was like SHIT@!!! so i had to insert the first one, it would even turn off, once you go to update it locks you out of turning it off and everything!!so now i am stuck with shitty 2.8 where you can WOW actualy save videos, i am being sarcastic, i already had tons of movies on it, so screw you h33retic peice of garbage, itll be like a year for this downgrader to release, theres so much securitiy on it, so now i am just gonna wait for my free psp from freepsps.com to come, thats how i got my first one i just updated, i just hate it because it takes like 2 months to come in the mail, any ways the new will not be updated at ~All! peace out, i houpe you find my review of this shitty release helpful

well you can always go sell your psp 2.8 to some relative of yours that dont know anything about homebrew.
i have a reversed situation where a lot of my cousins own 2.0 psp but they dont even use it, kids these days ussually throw em around their house giving it bumps and scratches not knowing its value for us homebrewers.

True dat, man. I have a friend who doesn't even know how to update. He downloads them thinking he updated and just deletes them and doesn't run them. Also I have a friend I could've traded for a non-TA-082 after I updated to 2.7 before the downgrader, but now mines bricked and... @#$% I might not be able to return it/trade it in for a new one.

hmmn? i have read an idea somewhere but not recommend it because its evil see.
buy a new psp, take it home, change with the bricked one, go back to store immediately and return yer broken psp. if they change it you have 2 psp, sell the other one to have the money back.
