Hello all. I have just recently started having problems burning with DVD Shrink-Nero combo. The disc will burn fine and play on my computer using Power DVD software, but will not play on my stand-alone DVD player- the DVD player will display the message "incorrect disc." I have tried different brand discs, and none seem to work. Most frustrating is that the process works randomly, and I'll get a usable disc after several failures, but if I try to burn another one immediately, or an hour later, or whenever, I can have the same problem. I have successfully burned DVDs using this same combo on many occasions prior to this problem. Any ideas?

Just to add to Sisarius post it can be a few things.
What media and what's the rated burn speed of it - like Sony +R 8x.
How about your drive's firmware? Is it up to date?
You can post back this info if you like to check -the make, model and firmware version.
Just in Nero go to ToolKit>InfoTool>drive tab. There is a field for the firmware version.
What burn speed are you using?
Thanks Sisarius & binkie7. I think the root of the problem was the firmware. I have updated it, and have successfully created 2 discs. Simple fix. Thanks again. JP
