Lol with the funny questions. In one answer, can you make a Super Nintendo game into an XBox 360 one? LOL. Same answer son. NO

Yes, you can play ps1 games on the ps2. But you can not Change a ps1 game into a ps2 game like you originally asked.

How is your PS2 modded? You need a modchip or Breaker Pro to play PSX games, you can't use Swap Magic.

what version ps2 do you have? check the back it should have some like this SCPH-XXXXX

try this http://www.maxking.com/ps2v5dis.htm

its for a v5 ps2 it shows you how to modchip a ps2 but itll certainly show you were a modchip would be located.

if you dont have a v5 please tell me so i can find a link for your ps2?

another thing is just turning your ps2 on and checking for the logo, but i doubt that would work for your mod.

also try contacting the guy who modchipped your ps2 and asking what modchip he installed.

Really the only way is to open it up and see or contact the installer. Do you see anything like ToxicOS or Matrix when your turn on your PS2?

Then you'll have to contact the installer, be careful if you open it up, and be sure to snap a pic if you do.

can you use breaker pro even if you have a mod chip? Mine has a duo chip and it looks like its booting the ps1 game, but then it goes to memory card screen and fails. Not sure if its the laser, but I'm afraid to open up the ps2 and do anything to it, but I want to find a simpler solution to play ps1 games on ps2

You can, yes. It might work. The only way that should make a difference is if it's a compatibility issue between your chip and these couple games. I'm also not sure if would make any difference. If you swap Breaker Pro without a case mod (i.e. using the disc tray) I'm not sure if the Swap will still take effect, or if your PS2 will default to the Duo2's loading mechanism, i.e. pressing reset twice to boot PSX backups. Can't hurt to try, if you can find a copy of Breaker Pro.

9. Q. Where can I find PS2 games to download?

I don't know if these instructions are the same for all messiah chips, but try this: http://www.maxking.com/word/modchipuser.doc
