GRADIUS - PSP 2.6 - HOW TO PLAY THE GAME / INSTALL ONTO MEMORY STICK

HI, my first post and a bit desperate!!, i got the gradius.iso 333mb open it up to exrtact and there's these files, umd_data.bin and psp_game folder with sysdir folder , usrdir folder, icon0.png, param.sfo, pic1.png, OK so i've tried various ways of installing onto the stick. where does it all go ??? what folders???? does it actually work??? do i need homebrew????? i noticed it's got eloaders in 1 of the folders that helps load it??? i goto game then to memory stick icon and there are 2 files but they are corrupted data, i have searched the forum but no awnsers apart from the japan fix

PLEASE HELP ME

you cant do anything on a 2.6,

use this image to see if you can downgrade then you can run your game :)

many thx for the quick response, bollx !!!! can i downgrade to play it??? i see the downgrading sticky the guy had done it on a 2.5, if thats the case i'm gonna have to get proper umd.

well if your motherbord is compatible you can play any backup of a game you want :) and still use 2.xx features like web browser etc :)

ahem, you need the UMD disc of GTA LCS (unpatched) to run homebrew softs or downgrade your psp (provided its not TA-082 or IC1003).
be very aware some other guy ive encountered bought a gta lcs exactly identical to mine (which is unpatched) but his is Patched. read some trusty posts before buying.

cool, i'll study the pic, but reading about people bricking their psp it does put me off trying! might be easier to get the game of ebay for £20.... but then i've already got it now ;) so maybe i should try and see if i can get it working...

yeah i got gtavcs and got homebrew running with quake, and i wondered if thats what i needed to use to play gradius.

just looked and i got ic6001 and gta so i'm gonna read that sticky on downgrading and try to play it... oh do i downgrade it to 1.5?? and whats so special about the earlier version that allow me the play these iso's

downgrade to 1.5 firmware (be very careful). get devhook .46 installer, install it.
put the gradius iso in the ISO folder located at your memory stick.
see the link on my signature its Devhook installer / guide.

EDIT: update
when you have 1.5 NEVER ever update you hear me. DevHook will emulate everything for you. yes even higher firmwares. (2.71 as of now)
1.5 runs Homebrew softs without gta exploit just direct boot.
