I just download clock tower 3 for the ps2, and there are two files In the folder. One mdf, and mds, I try'd using ahcohol to burn It to a DVD-R but It would'nt let me burn It to a DVD-R, so I use a cr-d and I burned It. As soon as I swap magic cd I try'd to play, but I got a invalid ps2 disc. So I search the net and I find out that the original game Is on a dvd rom. Can anyone tell me what Im doing wrong and what I need to do to play this game, are there any other programs that I can use to burn a mdf file to a DVD-R ? I also try'd DVD Decrypter, that did'nt work.

You could start by reading the sticky topics at the top of the forum. Might be a good idea to look at the one that even has mdf in the topic title!

try converting the mds file to a iso and see if that helps, also try using DVD Decrypter which you can find on google and burn with good quality media such as Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim,Aswell as Sony but make sure to get 4x or 8x and burn at half speed.

The problem Is'nt the brand of dvd or cd-r's I use, what Im trying to say Is that the original game Is on a dvd rom, I dont have the original game I just saw It on the internet. As soon as I open up the clock tower file I downloaded, theres a mdf ,and a mds file which can only go on a cd rom using acohol. the game does'nt work, I get an invalid ps2 disc when I use swap magic. DVD Decryter, and Nero does't support a mdf,and mds.

well, if you're downloading without owning the original then that's piracy which is against forum rules.

What you've downloaded is a DVDRip of Clock Tower 3, which does indeed go on CD. However, since you're using Swap Magic, the TOC of the Rip is most likely bigger than the 74min TOC limit of Swap Magic & will require a Swap Magic fix applied so it will boot, or you could try ripping it further & rebuilding it yourself.

That could be it? How big are the mds and mdf files. And for future reference, don't openly admit to pirating games in the forums.

Yup. Too big for SM to load. You'll need a Swap Magic fix patch, or try & rip it even further yourself so that its under the 74 min limit.

You can use Breaker Pro as a TOC disc to load discs over 74 mins. But that'd require Breaker Pro. Rebuilding a rip isn't the best idea if you're new to this whole thing. Your best bet would be to find an actual DVD version of the game. Usually PS2 isos are 2-4GB's compressed. If a game's like 300MB's or something, usually it's going to be a CD-ROM game or a CD-rip. Here's a list of torrent sites to get you started.
9. Q. Where can I find PS2 games to download?
