No way...
You need to have a 1.50 PSP to play backups, and there is no option to downgrade a 2.80. The only firmware downgradable is 1.51 to 2.60.

Doesnt matter what it is...you cant play it with a 2.80 PSP. Im afraid you will have to wait to see if a way of downgrading will be found, but who knows when that could be ????

If you're talking about playing ISOs or Homebrew from your Memory Stick then no...you can only do that on a 1.5 PSP. I believe 3.0fw when it comes out will allow you to play PS1 games that Sony are gonna re-release. The further you upgrade the less likely you are gonna be able to downgrade (or at least you will have to wait alot longer).

Okay Thank U.. But there was a person who started a discussion..
it was something like devhook and usbhosts and a program more to play ISO files on your PSP.. If i followed the instructions to play ISO files can my PSP then be destroyed?

Attempting to use Devhook, etc on your PSP wouldnt brick it...it just wouldnt work. Those sort of emulators/programs will only work on a 1.5 PSP. Devhook is what allows you to play ISOs but as I said it wouldnt work for you.

Attempting to downgrade yours WILL brick it though, so dont even bother.
The only PSP games you can play are normal UMD games.
If you wanna be able to play ISOs, Hombrew, etc then you're either gonna have to exchange your PSP for one that is 2.6 or below (because anything up to 2.6 can be downgrade to 1.5) or just wait until someone comes up with a downgrade for your version.
