Well I'm not a native to this section of the forums but I do stop in once in a while, just to see whats up. Now I really didnt pay too much attention to downgraders and devhook because I never had a psp and I never thought I would but my mom was in India this summer and picked one up for cheap psp + 2gb ms for just under 125 CAD not bad huh? Well anyways I just have a few questions that I couldnt actually find the answers to in the stickies. Any Links are greatly appreciated!
P.S. My moms still not back yet so I have no idea what FW it has or if it has the TA-082 motherboard but considering its an asian psp I'm thinking 2.60 FW and god hope not the TA-082 motherboard...
1. Do all devhook app need your psp to be 1.50 FW to work?
2. If I'm correct and you do need a 1.50 FW psp the only way is to downgrade, but is using GTA:LCS the only method ?
3. If it is I did manage to find out there are 2 versions, a patched version that you cant use the xploit and the older one that you can, ( which I'm guessing is extremely hard to find) ?
4. Now as far as I can tell there is no patched version of GTA:LCS for US version only the UK/Euro Versions, am I right?
5. To access the ms duo pro can you use psp via usb link or do you need a card reader?

Hi, I live in India so I can confirm that in most cities the PSP's in stock are running 2.01, I don't think they will be TA-082, there have been success stories about a TA-082 downgrade but I can't. A for the memory stick, hope its not fake lol. Thats pretty good deal, I bought my PSP in Canada last year for about 400$ the value with a 3 year warranty.
Now to ans your Q's-
1)Yes your PSP needs to be 1.5 for all versions of Devhook to work.
2)If your PSP is 2.50/2.60 and not TA-082 yes, you need GTA (the unpatched version)
3)Well, it certainly won't wrk with patched version, although you can make out from the back oart of the case is it's patched or not.
4)Don'y know you should search for GTA patched/unpatched threads there have been quite a lot and they are quite useful.]
WoW thank you so much, I was actually worried no one would wanna help with these questions.... THANK YOU SO MUCH! Actually I know India is infamous for its "fakes" and ya I was praying the 2gb card wasn't fake, but I guess if it was I shouldn't complain as the psp value of 125 is still cheap. Its a good thing I can use my miniUSB from my GC qoob Modchip :D! I will do a much harder search on the un/patched versions of GTA:LCS. Just a few more questions about Iso's if you don't mind, as I'm assuming you have delt with the iso's.
1. I've downloaded a few psp games, tekken DR, MGSA and Blade Dancer. Now what I've noticed is that there not like a ps2 Iso would be. Instead there all broken up. For example the tekken iso shows all the files the game holds. Now do I do anything to the iso file wich is in a RAR format or do I just drag n drop into the Memory stick?
2. My blade dancer file isn't like the tekken iso, its broken up into small files that aren't in a RAR format, what do I do with it?
OK first let me help you out with Tekken first. After you downloaded tekken did your recieve a bunch of .r00 r.01...files? Or did you just get one RAR file?
I recieved .001 rar files and I new I had to xtract them, so I did. I got the iso file. Now normally I shouldn't be able to browse the .rar iso file like with ps2 iso's but this one I could.
ps my bad it wasn't tekken iso, it was MGSA but its still the same problem haha.
