Hello everyone!

I just recently have been surfing your forums, and have successfully got myself operating with SwapMagic and MagicKeys 2!! I would just like to say THANK YOU everyone who has submitted content to these forums whether it be walkthroughs or links.

Oh, and also, from one newbie to others, having ULTRA GOOD MEDIA is not that big of a deal... I use "3rd class garbage" memorex DVDs at 2.4x burning speed and have got nothing but perfection for over 5+ games.

I'm glad you got your backups working. However, good media is very important. You paid more for Memosux, than you would've for Taiyo Yuden's or Verbatim's. There's no empirical evidence to support claims that media doesn't make a difference. There will always be those strange exceptions where crap media works on a certain model PS2, and good media doesn't. However, there's a ton of threads where good media solved backup problems, at least 1/2 of all boot failres are due to poor media in my opinion. Because you got a couple backups to work on Memorex doesn't mean anything. The fact is you can get quality media online cheaper than Memorex, which will put less stress long term on your PS2 laser and produce less than a 1% coaster rate. Let's see if those Memorex work in six months. 8x Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim media works on the highest percentage of people's setups.
