Hi,
I have recently installed Devhook 0.45 with firmware 2.5. My psp's firmware is 1.5. However, when I tried to load a game (game's name is lumies), I kept getting "The game cannot be loaded because the data is corrupted" I know the game ISO is good because I was able to load it using fastload 0.7 before. Does anyone have any suggestion on what to look?

probably the setting on your devhook are incorrest. set the setting by:
umd select: the game you want to play
second option(i forgot what it is): set it to 2.xx-2.7x
third option(which i also forgot): set it ANYUMD
firmware: 2.71
if i have the incorrect oder, just select the said setting

if u didnt set the correctly, u probaly installed the devhook wrong. use the devhook 0.46 ulimately installer instead!

@corey_369 your psp is not 1.5 firmware, try using GTA exploit if you are using 2.0/2.1/2.5/2.6 psp. if you want to downgrade to 1.5.

Hi, I have followed the direction in http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/374049. And still get data corrupted. 1 question I have is the guide says I need to put an UMD disc in there. I have a UMD disc (original disc) that has a movie on it. Do I need to put a UMD game disc? Will devhook 0.46 works with a movie disc? When I tried to view that movie, it says region code error which is very strange because I could view it before I loaded devhook 0.46. Any other clue on where to look? Thanks,

i dosent mater what type of umd your useing and as for the region code this where did you download your devhook? and why dont you try the new one http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/673

@rhymej tnx for using my guide, i dont know about Movie UMD, but i used any UMD Game preferably old psp games like ridge racer or any other launch title. try buying any used games for a few bucks.
To watch that movie just dont load devhook, psp 1.5 can play it.
devhook emulates fw 2.71 english so its probably US or Europe.
if your movie says region error then maybe its the opposite of devhook region. my guess is that devhook uses US so your movie maybe from Europe region.
my guide uses devhook .46 ultimate installer release v1.1.1 so its currently the Latest as of Aug.21,2006. was there any new release that i didnt know?

I am using the devhook from http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/673, so that should be the latest one as of Aug 21st. That umd movie is region 1, coz I bought it at the states. I am very perplexed because the guide is very easy to follow and I just don't understand why devhook wouldn't work for me. :(

I ran the installer and then just pick the very first one, it is devhook 0.46 with firmware 2.71. I just loaded fastloader 0.7 and an iso onto the MS. No problem playing it. I formatted the MS again and in the processing of reinstalling devhook using the ultimate installer v1.1.1

@rhymej now i see the problem besides the UMD movie, some ISO are created for a prticular loader so ussually ISO for fastloader mostly dont work for devhook as they are missing some file such as UMD_DATA.BIN which is needed by devhook to run the game.
for better compatibility with devhook please use full untouched ISO's or properly ripped ISO/CSO. and as for game loaders please use any old GAME UMD and not Movie UMD.

lilfree22, I want to switch to devhook from fastloader is because there are iso I found couldn't be loaded using fastloader (ie NCAA Football 07), so I thought I would try to use another loader instead.
xche78x, I didn't know there are ISOs specifically certain loader. Do you guys have any small iso that I can test devhook with? Or somewhere I can dl it?

@rhymej there are many games incompatible with devhook but works for other UMD loaders, mostly early launch games such as street fighter alpha 3 which i think took me the 4th download so just it runs with devhook. the other three are missing UMD_DATA.BIN but has some other UMD loader included and they run fine just not with devhook.
try searching for "Star Soldier" its just 70+ MB's, @ torrent sites.

Hey guys, I finally got it to work. The devhook ultimate installer 0.46 actually works. The problem I have is I need a UMD game to get it to work. I was using a UMD movie, so that was the problem. Hopefully, this will be helpful to others who run into the same problem as me
