Hi,

I was making DVDs using Nero all the time. Suddendly the past couple of burns have ended with "burn process failed".
The first time this happened, I found out that the disk had not been finalised, and I had less the 2mb left on the disk, so I could not finalise it.

I tried to burn another disk. This one also said burn process failed. But when i looked at the disk with the Nero InfoTool it said that the dvd was fine, and it looked like it should be working fine.

I put it into a dvd player, but it dosen't recognise the disk, where as normally, with the other disks it has.
But when it put it back into the PC I am able to play the DVD again.

Does anybody know why it plays in the PC but not dvd players.
Thanks

Have you changed your brand of discs, or have you changed your disc format, such as gone from +R to -R or vice versa.

Also if the burn process has failed, post a Nero log, located here.

Nero 6 history log location: Program Files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt

Nero 7 history log location: Program Files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.tx

So that I could comment on 7.2.3.2b, I tried it to burn 3 AVI flies which I had successfully burned using version 7.0.8.2, sadly each burn was unsatisfactory so I reverted to 7.0.8.2, tried them again with success?my conclusion..7.2.3.2b was a failure when it comes to burn AVI files.

I did the following, uninstalled 7.2.3.2b, ran this clean tool
http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then installed 7.0.8.2 from here

It is recommended to have a minimum of 512meg RAM for burning, I would consider adding a further 256meg.
