they are going to release a new firmware that supports 8gb mem sticks, forcing you to upgrade. atm, you cant get an 8gb mem stick and it wont work with your 1.5 psp.

Yeah. Current firmware only recognizes a maximum of 4 gigabytes, so that's the biggest memory stick you can currently buy if you have a homebrew machine. There DEFINITELY will be an 8 gigabyte stick - probably late this fall - but we won't be able to use it until somebody makes an application that will allow the system to read it.

a homebrew app wont work because you will need to run it of the ms, which aint compatible, making it impossible.

if you're iso crazy, like some people, 4 gigs is optimal. you can fit a game like tomb raider, and have 3 or 4 other games. and you can also now have similar storage amounts to the ipod, making the psp a more viable choice for your multimedia experience.

lol, i would never write anything to flash, that could change if i got an 8gb memory card.

but first of all i would get someone to "test" the program.

@ferrar1...yes the memory card is listed on the Sony website but is rumored to be about $+1000.

i like how expensive that is....

A 4GB is only $120 at newegg, you could get like 8 of 4GB for the price of one 8GB.

the price for that 8Gb will sink like a rock real soon
