You are probably downloading PAL format movies, instead of NTSC. PAL movies don't play well on a NTSC dvd player and tv.

I guess when you download movies, you get what you pay for.

No, sorry. No more ideas.
I tried downloading movies once. Had the same type problem. The movie played fine in PC, but was jerky in my dvd player. Turned out the movie was in PAL format. Sounded like your problem, so that's why I said that.
Sorry. Don't know enough about downloading.

well let's see what we can do your thread starts off with the title(burning legit DVDs) if you are having a problem with your downloads and you say they are legit you must have paid for the download right? well just go back to the site and send the site a e-mail saying that the movies that you got are not working right and you need some help with the problem and i am sure that the site will eather give your money back or let you redownload the movie file and tell you what you are doing wrong with some sort of tech support. good luck happy burning have a nice day.

Actually, "legit" would mean legal downloads which you have purchased and have the right to burn to a DVD....

So that means................
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

dialysis1 with your status as a member you should know what bilbo65 is saying so don't act like you don't! if you bought the movie or download you may have the right to burn it to a disk depending on the site and the agreament it has with the copyright holders, some sites that have a pay per download just lets you watch the movie not burn to disk, so one would have to read the agreament to know what one has the right to do! dose that make things better for you to understand? hope so happy burning good luck have a nice day!

I think you will find that the member of this site are not very supportive of your type of "legit" questions.
