Of course there is.
If you get a PassMe and a media adapter (M3, Supercard, or EZIV), you can use Moonshell and play video files in DS mode.
Or get a GBAMP and watch videos in GBA mode.
Both choices are safe. The only time it isn't is if you fail a FlashMe installation.

GBA mode, which means it will work on the GBA/ GBA SP (my brother sometimes uses my GBAMP on his old GBA SP)

Profile: Med Height: 160 Maxbitrate: 384
Audio bitrate:128 Sample: 3200

Try getting a more recent version of moonshell, i don't think .dpg was supported until version 1.0

i have a stupid question before i try it...
i have an M3. By default it has moonshel preinstalled in firmware? Right?
If i download and install a new version of moonshell on my M3 does it mean that it will be duplicated? Understand? I will still have the old one programmed into the firmware and a separate one, new? Or it will rewrite the original?

Technically the M3 Moonshell is not in the firmware of the M3 but on your SD/CF card, the firmware only has a direct link to the M3 Moonshell on the card.
If you then download the stand alone version of moonshell you will have two versions availaible on the card, this is because the standalone version of moonshell does not work with the 'Extend' function of the M3.
So just to be clear, the M3 version will not be overwritten.

but is is possible to owerwrite the original? to have only one version and to link it to "extend" icon?
in other words make the standalone version to be original?

i don't believe there is a way to overwrite the one that is on the M3 itself. M3's built in Moonshell is on a storage device on the M3 that is not user-accessable.. its not stored on the SD/CF card. If it was, you would be able to access the files by just plugging in your SD/CF card into your computer, but you can't do that :P

well then it looks kinda stupid to have both versions, and use only one. Why to make a new firmware with old moonshell? Can i at least somehow link "extend" to new moonshellor somethin?

'fraid not, your either going to have to stick with the M3 version, or have both on the card at the same time.
Quote: Why to make a new firmware with old moonshell
because the M3 team change the coding and appearence of Moonshell, but by the time they release their changed version, a more up-to-date version of the normal moonshell is released, they are always a step behind.

eeee....
are you sure?
my moonshell says its v0.9 from file updategc.e16, and i have the latest firmware v23b
i somehow believe that this basic version of moonshell will never be changed nor removed from M3, and that's bad :(

I know Moonshell gets updated as the only thing in the changelog from E22 to E23 was an update to Moonshell.
Where are you getting the version number of Moonshell from?

boot in ds mode
extend
help and support
go to the end of the file
tap 18 times up
It says there:
current system update file: updategc.e18 for CF version. updatesd.e16 for SD version.
