Whats probably happening, is your saving a bookmark of the video, and not actually downloading the video to your hardrive. Do you by any chance use Firefox? If you do you can download this extension 'VideoDownloader' it lets you download all videos playing embedded in a web page.

DarkJello - So if I DL "firefox", I can right click and "save as" any video I may want from any web page? Where can the "videodownloader" extension be found?

After downloading Fire Fox you can go to 'Tools' then 'Extensions' This will bring you to a website that has all sorts of extensions for Firefox that will do just about everything imaginable. Search for the extension 'VideoDownloader' and download it. You then need to restart Firefox and now you should see an icon in the bottom right hand corner. When a video is playing in your browser just click on that and it will prompt you with what format[s] the file is found in, and then allow you to download them.
