Sadly, no.
Says in the rules we are allowed to post links to sites where there is pirated material, as long as its not a direct link.
If your running PG2 you can relax a bit more.

To my knowledge theres no such thing as legal BitTorrent sites, all the ones that claim to be are fake and will leave your computer horrible infected.
If you want legal, you go here:

^^^^^^LOL, that was a good one!
Like rav said, get nicely acquainted with Peer Guardian, because its your best friend on the net! As for as legality, again, rav was on point. If your wordied about legality, visit K-Mart, granted you wont rob the place...lol :D

there is no such thing as a legal torrent site, as EVERYTHING offered is pirate material. therefore making it illegal.
The only time a torrent site would be deemed legal is if it were owned/operated by a movie company and you had to pay for every movie you were to download.....and then ofcourse there would have to be some sort of copy protection encoded into the movie. ick.

Just a quick quesion (and forgive me if I'm in the wrong place),
I've been downloading a torrent file (the actual file is of no importance) using Utorrent's latest release. It's hit 98.something % and won't budge no further. I understand the seeding as opposed to leeching problem, but what's wrong here is there is constantly on average 250 to 300 seeds but I can not connect to any of them. I can only connect to peers for a few minutes at a time, get around 0.02kbs and then it cuts out again. My connection isnt a problem, its nice and my PC's fairly stacked, the 98% came in smoothly but over the last week it just wont budge and it makes no sence seeing as there are so many people with the whole file.
Any ideas or suggestions? Would really appreciate it...

Done.
Thanks for the reply. I obviously havnt had my PC running for a full week, I've stopped and restarted the dl many times since it hit 98%. But don't think I've forced a start.
Let you know how it goes...
Cheers,
Oz.

Forcing the start didnt really help even though I connected to 1 of 251 seeds, but nothing was coming through. The files are definitely incomplete (only just). It's a series of about 12 episodes (AVI files), and none will play atm, even the first that is complete. Wouldnt be wastng my time, but where I am these are hard to come by.
Any suggestions on a freeware media player that plays partial DivX files? I tried rendering it with G-Spot but it failed and stated that it's not a valid AVI file. Hard to beleive when it's apparently such a common torrent.
I'll keep trying, thanks for the help guys...

make sure you have all the right codecs and open it in VirtualDub, even if it is incomplete virtual dub will reconstruct the missing pieces, but sounds to me like you got a fake torrent, try checking the comments of the torrent from the site where you got it, if its a fake people will yousually post there.
