NEED HELP CONNECTING TO SOCOM2

hello everyone, ive had socom 2 for quite a while now and i used to play it online in the united states. but since ive come to the dominican republic now i cant connnect. i have verizon dsl which has a speed of 384 kb. each time i try to get online i get an dnas error code 612. ive done my researcing about the problem. and i have all the correct information inputted to connect to socom 2 online. but i still get the same error message.im begging to feel hopeless and starting to think that we cannot connntect to socom 2 through the dominican republic, please help me thank you.(ps i am connecting through the modem not a router)

-612 NET_DNS_TRY_AGAIN
The DNS resolver cannot be found. "DNAS Error (-612) A network error has occurred." Please double-check your network connection and/or network configuration.
You'll need to find out the DNS address assigned by your new ISP in the Dominican Republic & make sure you input it in the correct place when setting up your Network Configuration file.
I'd also recommend an upgrade of your service as well, cos at 384kb you're gonna lag like hell. Geez, even my upload is miles better than your download speed!

did you run a network setup again when you got to dominican? If you didn't then I'd recommend you do that.

I had this same problem like a year ago and got the same error.Sounds like your router is not working try tradeing that router in for a new one.That what i did for my TimeWarner router.

that might help if he had a router but he clearly says he uses the modem and not a router.

yes i have made a new nework setup and ive manally inputted all the information and it says i can connect to the internet but then i get the dnas error code.

Im sorry i mean Modem try that and see if it work.I learn that from Sony because that what the Sony rep told me to do when i called them.Try a new modem.

ill see what verizon can do for me. maybe if i upgrade my serive to about 1 mbps maybe ill get a new modem. thx ill let u guys kno what happens.
