i have Nero 6 and i dont have this option >Make UDF/ISO DVD .can i update it to get it?or cant i get it with this version

what version of Nero do you have ..... looks like Nero 6..... try installing 6.6.0.18 (stable version... you might have the OEM version): http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

That looks like the StartSmart screen from Nero 7...

Change the menu setup at the top from CD/DVD to just DVD.

Click the icon that shows two people at the bottom of the screen. This changes from standard mode. (The one your screenshot shows) to advanced mode.

The UDF/ISO DVD option should now appear.

BTW this is an option in Nero Burning ROM. You could just go into your program files and open Burning ROM and select this.

you can also try hitting Nero Burning Rom and then look for the UDF/ISO on the left side select area when the program comes up:

also check out DVD not CD/DVD selected in the upper middle box in StartSmart.

fasfrank thanks that worked with hitting the 2 little people .
i have version 6.6.1.4.i tried versionNero API version: 7.2.3.2
newest version and its junk wouldnt even let me burn a dvd .

I opened my Nero 7 and the SmartStart screen is identical to yours. I wonder if your Nero 7 screen got left over from your previous installation.

You damn near have to throw your PC of a cliff to get Nero removed completely for a clean reinstall.

well i have now Nero 6 .all i know is that Nero 7 is junk i wasted 2 dvds and it said burned failed .here is a clean tool to get rid of old Nero http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/Nero_7_Clean_Tool.html
and Nero 7 newest version is a different color and the icon on the desktop is also different

here is the version i have and works great .i will never upgrade again do your self a favor and junk 7

Hi guys,
Yep, I bought Nero 6 a few years ago and still use it.... I did upgrade to Nero 7 without problems on this PC. I still have 6 on my other unit.
I had AOL too. It came with my first PC and being a clueless newbie I had no idea there were other options. It was an enlightening experience trying to get rid of it once I figured out there were better ISP options.

i need help .on my other pc i installed Nero 6 and updated it .how could i get back the Nero start smart icon on desktop its gone .and also the 2 litle guys are gone >and i cant get the option for Make UDF/ISO DVD

ok...... this is what you do:

1. save your serial #
2. uninstall Nero
3. use the Nero 6 Cleaning tools: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Clean_Tools.html
4. do a registry clean up, and if you don't have a program to do the job, get one free one here: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/
5. defrag the hard drive
6. reboot
7. reinstall Nero 6: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
this is the stable version and I use this version myself!

you'll be ok after this! enjoy.....

Nero 6 OEM is not the greatest....... do what I said in the above reply...... and you're problems will be fixed. do not do any updates! keep the version 6.6.0.18!
