Just today i tried to play my nba2k6 backup and the screen is in black and white. Then i tried a regular copy of nfl2k5 and it was the same. I checked the av cables and everything is fine. I have a slim ps2 with a flip top and swap magic 3.6. Any Ideas on what i can do to fix this problem, I heard that the new slim ps2 can detect when trying to play a back up game and turns everything black and white on purpose, i dont know if this is true or not, but my screen sure is black and white. Any help, thanks.

also thought i should mention my games are not PAL or Japanese. Even the begining when i turn my ps2 on is in black and white, and so is the swap magic 3.6 menu

Could it be that the game you played before this one was NTSC, so the TV detected a NTSC signal and swapped the colour over and for some reason hasn't changed back to PAL.

If I was you, I would do some cross examining to locate the problem with exact certainty.

What happens if you put a DVD player into the same AV input on the TV?

Have you tried playing your PS2 on a different TV?

Thanks ryu77, but naw that wasnt it. i fixed the problem, Mods can delete or lock this thread.
