how to burn a dvd-r with small vob files instead of one big vob file ?

after I capture a movie , the size is about 4 gb big. but I see regular dvd usually it spilt into few vob files (about 1 GB size)
how can I do that when I capture ?

How do you go about 'capturing' the original? vob files are split into 1GB segments + and info file. Need a bit more detail if we are going to be able to help you

i mean when I capture home video insted of ripping, it capture whole moive which is exceed 1 gb, let say 4 gb for whole movie, this would make it slow when burn it or playerback cause file is so big,any way I can split when capture ?
(don't like capture a small sections and put all together though because the between section don't play very smooth)
