About a month ago I bought a Mistubishi WD-62627 1080p Dlp television from Best Buy but today I realized that they sent me home with the wrong one. I actually have a WD-62527 LCD Tv. I have done some research and the LCD seems to get better reviews, but I wanted the 1080p capability. Mostly just looking for opinions on which is the better model.

I would complain to Best Buy because the MSRP of the LCD is $3,199 compared to $3,999 for the DLP. How much did you pay?

62627 1080p DLP

I personally would demand a replacement and get the 1080p DLP.

The Dlp was on sale for $1999.00 down from about $2700.00 the LCD was not on sale and was $2700.00 It has not been a bad Tv its just that I have read that LCD's are more likely to have issues and the fact that I wanted the 1080p. I called Best buy today and I have to go up there to see if they can do anything about it.

I was looking at the BB website and the 62627 has been replaced by the 62628 ($3399.98). That's probably the reason why the 62627 was on sale. Maybe Ced has some suggestions?

Update:

The TV that was on sale was actually the LCD. The DLP was still $2600.00 this morning when I wen't back to the store. Either way they are sending me the DLP this Friday for the LCD price.

Bestbuy only carries the 1080p DLPs this year (2006). The 57" and 65" sizes. Anything else Mitsubishi is old 2005 stock.
