i saw an online poll few days ago that said "does your psp have 1 or more dead/stuck pixels? yes or no" and more than 50% of people said yes... and there were over 700 people who voted.
mine also had 3 dead pixels.
so why do psp's seem to have so many defective pixels?

Not sure why but like you say its common place. Mines had about 3 dead pixels from new, but I dont even notice them any more. I can only see them against a black background....

yea mine psp has 3 dead pixels as well. it's not very visible when the screen is bright but when it gets dark, it becomes very visible. the dead pixal is caused by turning ur psp screen for over 4 hours straight or more. i guess it becomes overheat once u turned it on for too long.

in my opinion those flash videos are total crap. i had 2 dead pixels on my computer monitor, and a friend said i should run one of those flashing videos, if i did it long enough the pixels would pop back into normal.. ran it for 24+ hours - ab-so-lute-ly nothing!
