I believe you can burn them to a CD and then re-rip the songs, this time without DRM. Otherwise, all I can say is, unfortunately, welcome to the wonderful world of DRM and purchased music.

-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

Check to see if the filesizes are set to zero when the SD card is in your PC card reader. The files might be corrupt. It could still be DRM though as DRM usually generates the same errors.

Can you download the files from your Lyra to your computer via USB?

Can you play them on your computer? What format are they? In other words, are they MP3 or WMA?

ok been away 4 a while they can all be played on the computer and most are MPEG-3 but some are MPEG-4. I've been tryin different things and found out that it's not letting me transfer like it's full but I've still got a little less than a third of the volume on the SD card. I think that will make for an easyer diagnosis. But could be wrong

Well, the MPEG-4 shouldn't play at all. I'm not aware of any device which supports it, though you could probably find an AAC to MP3 converter at videohelp.com's Tools section.

Find out if the Lyra has an internal format utility and reformat your card. If that fails, get an SD cardreader or find someone who does and reformat the thing. Most likely, there is some file or memory corruption. Seems to be common to Lyras as I just had to recover files from one tonight.

Look for 0-byte files. This may work when connected by USB, but should always work when the SD card is in a reader. Open Windows Explorer a.k.a. My Computer to whatever disc the SD card or Lyra shows up as, then right-click somewhere on the file listing that does not have a file name, and select View, then Details. You should see a filesize listing. If some are 0 bytes (or < a couple megabytes) you probably have file corruption there.
