I had no clue where to post this so the safety valve was my last resort.
Anyways, I am new to downloading files from BitTorrent clients but I have chosen to go with Azureus. I have a router and I have forwarded the ports that I need to use. But not matter what ports I test through that test that comes with Azureus it always says Nat Error? Any idea on what I am doing wrong or hpw to fix it?
Big Thanks To Jamaal10!

what kind of router is it?

Its a linksys router. It seems like sometimes when I use Azureus it works and I get speeds of about 20/25kbps. I have no firewalls on right now cause I figured that might have been the problem but I am using AVG Free. If I am lucky and get it to work then as soon as my crappy linksys wireless interent connection falls offline like it always does the port that I was using either has a NAT Error when I try to reconnect to Azureus or it says it may be being used by another program. Do I have to find a new port by doing like 30 mins of searching everytime I disconnect from the internet? Would it be because I might have a Static IP address? because for all I know I might have one. Any Help?
Big Thanks To Jamaal10!

Yup, I know that much. I have the ports forwarded and my firewally is off but yet I still cant get any faster download speeds than 30/35kbps or so.

Tried using port 1720 and enabling encryption in Azureus ?
And have you tried enabling UPnP ?

Make sure you also enable encryption.
If plain doesn't do it, try RC4
UPnP = Universal Plug 'n Play if i remember correctly...

Ok, I switched to port 1720 and immediately my Down Speed suck to 4 kb/ps. What makes this port so good anyways?
EDIT: By encryption do you mean Transport Encryption?
Should I enable the non-encrypted outgoing and/or incoming connections?
Big Thanks To Jamaal10!

Yes, i mean transport encryption, and you might want to enable the 2 options beneath it just so it will allow people without encryption to connect to you.
If that doesn't speed up in conjunction with using port 1720, then you might want to try using a port in the 50000 range.
As for what makes port 1720 special, it's usually used for VoIP purposes and therefore cannot be blocked/capped by ISP's.

I have a blue face on Azureus and beside the tracker it sas Connection Error (timeout), How come? My download speed as of right now is in the 80's so it is more than doubled. Any idea why I got a blue smiley thing and something wrong with the tracker?

Well, at least it's speeding up... as for the tracker, since i don't know which tracker/site you are using, i'd say i have no idea... give it a few minutes and it might give you a green smiley and everything could be ok.

Ok, I'll give it some time. What about the lights at the bottom? I have a green beside NAT and a yellow beside DHT Firewalled and Ratio. I dont have a firewall on unless AVG Free has one that I dont know of. BTW I got my torrent from www.torrentspy.com if that will help you help me any.
EDIT> What is the difference between plain and RC4?
For some reason it seems like my torrent keeps stopping to download at 37.8%. This happened before so I restarted the download but now it has happened again. The upload speed is going but the download speed is fully stopped, the same as last time. This could be a big coincidence but I kinda doubt it. Does this mean that the download is corrupt?

No that probably means everyone else in the swarm has the same amount of stuff downloaded as you and you should just be patient untill there are either more uploaders or untill you get stuff seeded to you.
Everyone else that's downloading that torrent probably has to wait just like you do.
So have some patience.
As for DHT being firewalled, you should turn it off anyway.
Ratio not being green simply means you haven't seeded back as much as you took yet,
And the difference between plain and RC4 encryption is how strong the encryption is.

Ok, I'll give it some time and get back to you later. Thanks for the help. One last question, What encryption do you recommend? or does it matter?

RC4, as it's the more thorough one.
If it slows connections too much, you might want to use plain, but otherwise, RC4 is best
