Hi everyone, long time no see!!
Moved house and haven't had the internet for TWO MONTHS!! God it was like being stranded on a desert island. But enough about me- hope ur all cool!!
God, whilst i was gone gitaroo man came to iso- which i played last nite (Yipee!!)
Anyway, typical girl here, talking away- down to business---
i have 'cars' and 'dog happy life'iso, apparently it needs a patch? What do i do and where do i get it......help!!

Have you tried the new devhook 46? It should run them without patches, but correct me if im wrong guys.

i am using devhook.4d--has there been any upgrades since my desertion?
i know how to use umdemu.8c and devhook and thats it!!
I had a look on ps2nfo but to get the patch i had to register and post to the forum.....do i really have to go thru all of that?
BTW i am trying to put some pics on my profile...please tell me if u can access them!!

Devhook 0.46 is the latest, FW 2.71 emulation grab it quick before sites take it down as Sony are taking legal action..

With this loader you won't have to patch any isos to get them to run, and you get full 2.71 firmware emulation too!

Normally I would tell you how to use it but I still have .45 which you have to install from your pc to psp not drag and drop

Right, i have installed the new devhook to my psp, guna test it out on cars in a sec-----
before i do is there anyway i may press the wrong button and lose my 1.5 firmware?
i need to know before i get trigger happy!

No you'll be all good Sturgee, you can't upgrade with this.
Have a good look at the readme to make sure you get all the settings correct, and there are shortcuts and stuff that you'll need to get to grips with to get Devhooks full potential.
After a few days playing around you'll see why we all worship it so much.

this seems crazy but I see my 2.71 psp(i use it cause the usb works better on this one) says return to 1.5 from FW2.xx

No its just a way to get back to 1.5 without rebooting your psp. It works ok too.

Right guys.....i have loaded just the devhook.46 onto my psp and when the logo came up on my psp i went to load it up.....so far so good!!
Then when i went to select umd (which i could do on the old devhook) which i chose 'cars' then my psp froze.....am i missing some files.....
Don't direct me to the readme coz i just dont understand them!!
There were other bitz to load up from the 'ultimate installer and should i get rid of my old devhook on psp?

Devhook .46 works like a charm just like .45 so if cars doesn't work with .45 you are s.o.l with that iso

if the ultimate installer doesnt work download my toned down installer http://blindraven.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3...
make sure you have these settings
UMD SELECT - "game title".iso/cso
UMD MOUNT - ISO ANYUMD
UMD VERSION - 2.xx-> 2.00
FIRMWARE - 2.71
CPU CLOCK - 222/111 (333 if you dont use wifi and/or have few games)
BOOT SELECT - reboot XMB

i have mangaged to load up spongebob, which works fine....i am wondering whether 'cars' works or not?
Do i need to load up any of the other aspects of that installer to play it, or is the basic player enuff?

wassup, sturgee? (Sounds like "Lurgee" by Radiohead?)
Anyway, I have "Cars" and I couldn't get it to load. Now, I bought my UMD from the store. This wasn't downloaded, so I can tell you it doesn't work by ripping it. IDK about a patch. I tried it w/ a patch and it didn't work, but IDK if I did it right... If you have it, just run it from UMD. As it stands for me, I always have to keep one UMD in the drive at all times so I can take advantage of the UMD icon for ISOs. It might as well be the one I can't get working a/f/a I'm concerned...
