Help, How to Burn 4x MINI dvd-r at 8x / MCSE ?

I am trying to burn a Mini DVD-R (Ritek G04) at a higher speed. I used MCSE (Media Code Speed Edit) and replaced the GO4 code
(4x speed only) with the G05 code(2x.4x,8x) using the DVD burner flash utility. I checked it with DVD identifier and it works with changing a full size dvd... but when I try to burn the Minis with either DVD Decryptor or Nero.. they only recognise the 4x speed.
I can usually figure this stuff out on my own...but any help on this one would be very much appreciated.. Thanks in advance!
