I Installed AnyDVD about a week ago and everything was fine but today BOTH my optical drives are not being located in explorer...they are not autoplaying either.

In device manager both have yellow exclamation marks next to them

and both state
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."

I have tried uninstalling AnyDVD NUMEROUS times along with uninstallnig THEN reinstalling it...still no luck. I also tried reinstalling the drive but on restart it still doesnt recongize either drive!

I even tired installing a new driver for one of the drives and it said it cannot regonzie the hardware or smoething and it closed...wtf ?

This is very frusterating...as I have had other unresolved troubles with another PC and Daemon Tools and one of it's DVD drives

I had this same problem a few months ago, different code but AnyDVD seemed to mask my drive. I went into RegEdit and deleted some filters, reinstalled AnyDVD and everything was honky dory...

Here's the fix:
Quote:
Code 39
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Recommended resolution

Reasons for this error include a driver that is not present; a binary file that is corrupted; a file I/O problem, or a driver that references an entry point in another binary file that could not be loaded.

Uninstall the driver, and then click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall or upgrade the driver.

On the General Properties tab of the device, click Troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard.
