I don't understand those time ratings! what's 42' = 42feet? is it mins. or seconds? if it's minuets..... then I will stick with DVDDecrypter or AnyDVD for ripping! and what are these times for? is it ripping and burning times? And if you're comparing popular rippers.... then why don't you have DVDDecrypter, DVDFAb Decrypter, and AnyDVD in there, too? At least those are the popular rippers mentioned around here. but you seemed to put in a lot of effort for this report and hope to see more! thanks.... welcome to afterdawn.

Well, DVD Decrypter just decrypt a DVD, and the created files are .VOB and .IFO format. It does not re-encoder those files to AVI (or other formats) which is much smaller in size.
All the ripping software I chose to compare (I googled 'DVD ripper' and 'DVD to AVI', and found them), do both decrypting and re-encodeing. So they use much more minutes than DVD Decrypter.

Of course ' means minute, and '' means second in this report. Hehe, maybe I should be more specific on this.

I would rather see the comparisms between rippers most people use, AnyDVD, DVDFAB decrypter, DVD Decrypter and shrink.

I'd like to see a comparison to Auto GK. Most places I go this seems to be a very popular choice.
