Fantom, you can do it in many ways, a couple are:
Use something like Virtual DJ to mix and record a set using mp3's as input. With this software you can change the speed of an mp3 live like you would with vinyl, to match the bpm of the record currently playing that you wish to beatmatch. If you get a version that does not support recording your mix, then you can use something like Total recorder to record what you are playing. Some of the beatmatching software requires a decent pc to keep up. After you have your outputted mixed audio file from either your mp3 DJ software or from total recorder in .wav format (or .mp3, but best to stick to wav), you can import that to a sound production suite or editor like cubase or wavelab etc etc, to make any further adjustments and edits in prep for the cd, and then just burn the file to an audio cd using your burning software. Or if the outputted file is ok to go to cd straight away, just burn it straight with your burning software.
Or you could use software that automatically beatmatches your mp3's, obviously this takes the dj'ing out of it, but it depends what you want to do? Anyway I doubt you realy want to dj as doing this with a mouse and mp3's is a bit um, pointless (unless you are using a kit with real vinyls bearing a timecode that match to your mp's, but thats a different matter). So you can use something like Ableton live, line up what tracks you want to use, and enter them when you are ready, it has lots of amazing features and is not too intensive on your pc's hardware, you can record to a number of formats live too. Although it is not djing in the sense of beatmatching there is definitely a lot of scope for creativity. But if you are just looking to make a simple mix without any frills, ableton live is probably your best bet too. Then just burn the cd from the outputted file as before. Again, if you get a version that doesnt record, or cant for whatever reason, use total record which can record any sound that passes through your sound board.
