Do any of you either recommend a Bittorrent client or Emule instead.
A friend of mine said Emule is much better and safer... also if afraid for authorities...

Therefore I downloaded Bitcomet as well as Emule, but my experience with Bitcomet is much better. Im not that smart to set the optimal settings myself though... :-(
BTW I read everywhere that Azureus is a better BT-client than Bitcomet? Does everyone agree on this?

I also set my router ports and my firewall ports in the way as mentioned everywhere: I even opened both-way on ports 6881-6999, and for the Listening port on Bitcomet,(somewhere in the 11thousands) for router as well as firewall (Norton). No XP-firewall, high-enough broadband, and I download torrents with high amounts of seeds/leechers etc. Still only max of 30K/s. What do I do wrong?

Does anyone have suggestions?

Thnx

None of the above.

Get utorrent instead. It's no wonder your having problems. You should also have a gander at the guides at the top of the p2p section here. They will increase your speeds and help manage these apps much better:)
