i recently got some new antivirus software for my pc. (bit defender 9) but im having trouble uninstalling the macafee software that came with the pc when i bourght it! when i run the uninstaller it says that antivirus is still running and to stop this b4 i can continue to remove the program? i have disabled all accounts of macafee and it still pops up! ive seen other people with similar probs and they have been advised to try doing it in safe mode. having never used safe mode, is this wise? is there an alternative solution?? please help!!

Why is this in the P2P discussion forums??

Uninstall it in safe mode, here is more info on how to get into safe mode:

Remove it from add or remove programs, please tell me the exact version of McAfee you are using as you need a special tool to remove ALL of it, after you've uninstalled :-D
