I have this PAL backup that works perfectly, Color and the Screen is where it is supposed to be,
then I have this NTSC backup that works, but if I choose NTSC from the menu the screen will be in black and white, and If I choose PAL from the menu there's color but the screen has jumped up a little bit (making the lower side of the TV black). Anyone who know what to do against this problem?

And also, some of the movie sequences aren't working proberly, making the sound "choppy" etc...
anyone who know about that? Am I burning too fast / slow?

Thanks

I assume you're using Swap Magic? Swap Magic's forced video mode doesn't always work well. Is your PS2 PAL or NTSC?

You can try NTSC to PAL V Mode Exchanger. No guarantee it'll work, but worth a shot.

If the movie scenes are a bit choppy I would suggest using good quality media and of course burning at a reasonable speed. I burn at 8x on 8x discs and don't have problems since I use good media (Ritek) and have a good burner (Pioneer DVD111).

Buy a proper fully wired RGB Scart for PS2. It'll automatically convert NTSC signals to PAL format, and the picture quality will be much sharper, with colours much more vibrant & less 'washed out'.
Any good games store (or Argos) will sell them, with prices ranging from £3 - £15.

Always 1st with 100% working PS2 Online Game DNA$ IDs!!

Yes the SCART cable is a good idea. We don't have those in the states, so I tend to forget they're a good solution for people in the UK and Europe.

Tokijin - I got impatient burning at 1x, 2x or 4x so I decided to go against everyone's advice and burn at 8x and i haven't made any coasters for well over a year now. I think with the improvement/advancement in blank DVD media and burners, burning at this speed isn't a problem anymore.

aww :'(, today I got some good media dvds, but the sound is still scratching... I don't know if it's got something to do with the NTSC Iso or something, because I burned some PAL games (from original PS2 Games), and the burned discs worked 100% fine like the original...

I will buy some other brand DvDs, and also try downloading more PAL games and burn them to se the result... this, is a hard case ;)

I wouldn't waste a ton of discs on it. I had this problem with Rogue Trooper awhile back, the PAL version's video sequences would lag badly in the audio department when I forced the game to NTSC with my modchip. The game played fine. When I turned the Y fix off, I couldn't see the came of course, but the lag was gone. This also happened to a friend of mine with the game Trapt. It's a very rare issue, but occasionally forcing the game into another format can cause audio/video lag/boot failures. Me and my friend were using modchips, I have an MI, he has a DMS 4. Not sure if this applies to Swap Magic. But it seems likely it might. I have 10-15 PAL backups, and Rogue Trooper was the only one which showed any signs of not working 100% when I forced it to NTSC. The easy solution would be to find a PAL backup of the same game.

9. Q. Where can I find PS2 games to download?

Alright, thank you very much mate, this helps out alot!
but one thing... do you think if I import a japanese game (NTSC) will it be the same as a backup (with the sound scratching)?

I can't say for sure. Possibly, because Japan is NTSC as well. Europe and the UK are PAL. Japan, China, and the US are NTSC. Like I said, your best bet would be to locate a PAL backup of the game, that way no video conversion is necessary, assuming your TV is PAL as well as your PS2.
