I wouldn't touch a desktop by Dell as I only build my own, but the laptops are pretty good, and the spec on that one is more than alright.
I would get the DVD burner drive whilst buying as the difference in price is very small, and I wouldn't bother with the HDD upgrade, I would just use an external drive to back things up to, and leave it at 60GB.
Otherwise its pretty good.

That's exactly my way of thinking, build your Desktop and buy your laptops from either Dell or Toshiba. I just don't trust the others, especially HP.

Abbout your computer...I'd add a 128 video card if you are going to do some video editing or related tasks. I wouldn't waste money on a bigger HDD since you can get a cheap external or make your own external wiht an enclosure.

If I always hear voices surrounding me, does it mean Im crazy or that I hear in Dolby 5.1?

so yea, the only noticable difference is that this one has a solo core, and the other has a dual core, and this one has windows media, and the other has windows home. so which one is better??

at this point you probably noticed a second laptop has entered the picture, the bargain price is tempting, but is the 150$ more dell charges worth the dual core? right now im going to be buying one of these 2, which 1 would you guys go for?

The only thing i can stress is what the others have is to go with the lappy but try and get one with a DVD Burner and stay away from dell.

I have a Toshiba and it works great. and i got a DVD burner with it.

Don't know why people Thrash Dell so much. Sure they are not the best laptops, but compared to others I've tried, they are pretty decent. Now to your question. Toshiba is better than Dell in my opinion. They dual vs single core thing is now what you have to consider. If you are going to do demanding tasks, you should go with the dual core. If not, save your money and get the better brand, Toshiba.
