i dont know much.
but i think i know this:
you say you have (had) a psp with 1.5 firmware, but you also installed 2.71 firmware, that would make your psp a 2.71 firmware, right? meaning, you cant run ISOs..? Or am i incorrect.

Go and download devhook version .45. The ultimate insaller does everything for you except you have to point it to the drive letter the psp is assigned. There will be a folder named ISO in the root after its done installing and that's where the ISO files go. The link is in my sig. Then use these settings with devhook.
UMD SELECT - iso you wanna play
UMD MOUNT - ISO ANYUMD
UMD VERSION - 2.xx --> 2.00
FIRMWARE - 2.71
CPU CLOCK - 222
BOOT SELECT - reboot xmb
and leave other where it is.
Every game will work with it as long as the game isnt a bad rip and there is alot of those out there.

Just put in the iso into the iso folder then start devhook, then press "o" for settings and change to "anyumd" and on firmware go to 2.71, then go up to start and press it. After ur done playind turn ur PSP all the way off so u can reset ur PSP to 1.5.
