Tried the V2.6 Downgrade,What am I doing Wrong?

Hi Guys,
I am relatively new to the whole PSP downgrade techniques. However I have researched quite a lot and got a whole load of instructions and software.
I am using the Fanjita 2.6 downgrader,evrything goes to plan except for when I put in the GTA umd, it loads but does not bring up the downdate menu. so I am not sure what I am doing wrong....
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO TO MAKE THE DOWNGRADE WORK?
I have an non TA-082 2.6 version
I have the correct GTA LCS copy ULES-00151#
I have got the Downdater self load program...what am I missing?
Would really love to join the V1.5 community soon!

hmm, I did not use that package, I used the Easy one for both of my PSPs (Just In case I'd screw something up with manual installing) :)
I prefer you to download that too from http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/605
It includes everything you need for the downgrade.
Just follow the instructions, (there's a voie telling you along the text.) and you'll be fine :)
EDIT: And oh, make sure you delete everything you had copied before.
I also recommend formatting of the memory stick.

Thanks for the reply,
I have both downgrade files, ENLIGHT and ENFULL, the one you recommend is ENFULL, I cleaned the memory stick, did the file extraction, then loaded the umd, it come to the load screen, goes to the next screen then takes me to the start of the game.
Clearly there is something i am doing wrong...or possibly missing a file. Some of the guides have asked to wait for v1.5 downdate from a friends PSP....I dont understand what they mean by this.
Does the program put the files in the right order or do I have to manually???

The version of the game i bought was ULES-00151#, the umd is the black one i.e. the 2nd image you sent.
Ok so basically I have all the required software, I followed the instructions, I think I have the correct version of the game, what could be going wrong.
Whats the next step...guys I reallly appreciate the efforts!

Yes the motherboard as I said is the IC6001 which is basically not the TA-082 version, So all the ground work is covered...
I just dont know why the eloader wont run so I can do the downgrade.
I read another thread which recommended the ULES 00151# version of GTA LsC...now it doesnt want to work....
Its really frustrating...

On your version of gta ..what upgrader fw does it allow you to upgrade to? ...take alook now

Yes - Is that a problem. Cos I have World Tour Soccer and that has a Version 2 Update on the umd.
Surely this has happend the same for someone else?? When I go to the GTA menu Load game , I see the eloader save on...but it doesnt run...when I try to run it...it just takes me back to the start of the game???

You need gta umd with 2.0 updater.
with out a prepatched gta umd you aint gonna be able to do anything.

um when i used eloader.... in theold days, u had to have a save file on the gta game tht was later then when the eloader is installed, because gta will load up the last edited file, have you got a save file on gta tht when u start gta it takes u too? or just the eloader file? if not take out the ms start a game then save....

eloader was such a pain tho! took ages to play nethin, and i had 2.0 :( was too scared to downgrade lol

Are you saying that I should backdate my PSP then save then run the eloader or what???
I am not sure what you mean by you second last post....
If you are asking whether I have saved a game beside the Eloader the answer is no....the umd is brand new...I havent even played the game yet so havent saved anything yet....The eloader file is the only save on the memory stick...could that be the problem???
What do i do to fix....

yes tht is the problem u need a gta save as well as the eloader..... why? because when gta starts if theres a save file on the ms, it will load tht, as the only file u have is eloader it loads tht, and as u have to load tht during the game it buggers up, so take out the ms, load up gta, and when u get into the game, put the ms back in and try to load the eloader from inside the game, if tht dont make sense say so and ill try to explain it a bit better

Ok, will try that....
take out mem stick, load game...slot in MS....go to menu...load game load the ELoader and hopefully it should work.
Am I missing anything here....
Hopefully this will work..Will let you know later..

I tried that last nite, did not work.
I took out ms, started game, pushed ms back in, went to load game option, loaded the eloader save, it took me right to the game instead of bringing up the downgrade menu.
Any other possible options...

As I said, the only thing that you're missing is the correct version of GTA. I had to buy 3 before I found the right one :D
And BTW: they all got the 2.0 "Specs" on them. Still, they were 2.6
And then, found it! 96? for the downgrade :D:D:D
Though I got 50? back when I sold em ;)
