New here guys, but this forum has helped me alot lately.

I've just got the hang of Torrents and ISOs and whatever, and recently downloaded Loco Roco for PSP. This file however, came with many different .rar folders all about 15mb in size. It also came with 5 other files with extensions .r30, .r31, .r32, .r33 and .r34.

But, just extracting the contents in one gives me an .iso file 700mb large, the typical size for a large iso.

I don't have enough space on my hard drive to extract any other .rar folders (disgusting, I know...) and also, my MS has not got enough space to hold this iso.

I compressed the iso I extracted to a cso, and it fitted on my MS, but it doesn't load at all. I've used isos on my PSP before, so I know how to load them.

I suppose my questions are... what's up with all these different files I downloaded.
Would it be easier to just delete files until I have enough for this iso, instead of using the cso?

Thanks a lot guys.

LOL!?!?

what you could do to get 2-3 hundred megs of space is to extract the rar files to get the iso file, then extract the iso file with WinRAR again, this will remove the dummy data, for example tekken on psp is 1.7gig i did tht and gt it own to 1.3gig, you dont lose anything! now you have to rebuild it using vcdromx which u can get of psphacks, havent got the link, then u can turn it into a cso file and get it even smaller! theres a thread on it by hexitnow, havent got the link to hand though :(

Thanks, but I think I'll delete all the .rar files I downloaded, so I'll have space then and replace that space with the current ISOs on my MS. I'll try out Loco Roco then.

BTW, what's better: Star Wars Battlefront 2 (which is pretty good) or Loco Roco?

Thanks again.

Not sure what you mean about compression rate, I just used UMDGen. Save the iso as a cso. Is that bit wrong?

And yeah, I'm using DevHook.

Also, I've got the iso to load, but I'd rather have more than one iso on there.

I needed to install some .net thing for a particular version of that program. I think the one with a GUI.

The CiSO wouldn't run when compressed with UMDGen ("couldn't read the disk"), so I'll try a different version of ISO Compressor. Fingers crossed...

NB: Is it right for a 700mb file to get compressed to a 100-200mb file??

could try double clicking the first one or use open with then pick WinRAR, it should then bring up another screen which will have the iso in,then extract it from there

for iso compresser download this one http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/683

Walkinrag, just extract the first one, and it kinda takes files from the other archives, thats how I see it. So, extract the first file, and then delete them.

Anyway, the compression was great, thanks a lot stevenps2. Buuut, I still don't have enough room for both .cso's. Nothing I can do now but make more room.

Thanks a lot!
