kay yesterday i was readin in my psp hackin book to clean my psp wiht a glass cleaner sooo i did and next day my psp wont turn on...theres like sticky stuff under analog stick and i open cd thing and it was stuck then opend sooooo n e advice on how to help me

man, what exactly did you use for cleaner? i think you have take apart your psp (as if you were replacing your faceplate) and use some 409 on the sticky parts. this is just what i would, though.

lol wellllll i used the all around green windex bottle and sprayed screen then rubbed around on faceplate and on back..of......THATS HOW THE CD CASE THING IS STICKY! no i rubbed on the black part of back the sides are ok but yeah....

its an antistatic cloth.I think it works best. But for this time, hex will clear it up.

Ok Ok I see. Do you wanna talk about this in PM or here in the thread. When you sprayed the cleaner on the front of PSP it more then likely got down inside the joystick as there is enough room for liquid to seap in there. Even tho there is a lil gasket in between the faceplate and the joystick. It doesn't keep stuff out to well. If the battery was in there it's quite possible you could have short circuited the motherboard. I'm not saying thats what happened, you just cant rule it out as a possibility. Now is the UMD tray kind of stuck but then opens or what?

the UMD tray opens it was jus sticky on sides now uhh found out
its windex multitask green spray .... soooo

Is there any possibility that the windex spray got down in where the UMD tray hinges to stay closed. You might need to take apart some of your psp and clean it with a dry antistatic pad because its a good possibility that some got down in there and mixed with dust/debris and now is a sticky mess.

Ok well I gotta go BBQ dinner right now. But after its charged then try charging it. Post whether u hear the boot sounds play if the screen doesnt power, if it doesnt turn on at all, or if it turns on fine. Well get this squared away when i get back in from cooking dinner :)
