http://www.modchip.ca/store/product.php?productid=16227&cat=269&page=1

That's the product. I have couple of questions: please answer.

1) How to pay with the credit card if you don't give them a number??? How does it work??

2) Personal info? Do they keep it private?

3) That product costs $49.75 CAD with shipping, correct?

4) This product will allow me to play --> copied ps2 games, downloaded burned to a dvd ps2 games.

5) I've modified my ps2 using tape & tissue method, that's all I need to use Swap Magic, correct?

6) You are not advertising me to buy this product, right?

Thank you, I appreciate it.

These type of questions should be addressed to the site in question. How's anyone here meant to know about their personal info policy & all payment methods etc..?

As for questions 4 & 5, yes to both.

Well, there are people who bought it from the site. I just want to be sure they got it alright. I am just under so much pressure right now. Spending $50 on some "Swap Magic" that isn't even guaranteed to work. As for people from the site, the didn't response to my "Contact" 3 days now. Sorry, if a wrong questions, but I am gonna buy this in 1 hr. if you actually know some answers, please, post. I'll say thank you ^_^.

OMFG, I just ordered it, and, what do they mean by "if order is shipped on friday, it won't arrive until monday/tuesday"??

I placed order today (friday) but not "shipped" order. And I won't be here on Monday Morning so, what if it does arrive at that time???

Chill man. It'll come to your mailbox in about a week. You don't sign for it so you don't have to be home anyway. Don't hold them on a shipping/delivery date because you will be disappointed. It WILL get there. You're being overly paranoid. I told you in the other thread I got mine from them.
What do you mean you ordered from them but not give them a credit card number? Do you plan on calling them with the CC# or send a postal money order?

And yes again, Swap Magic will allow you to boot nearly every ps2 DVD/CD game without having to worry about rebuilding the file. Any .iso over 4.35 GB you will have to rebuild. And if you intend to go online, you MUST patch the .iso with the proper DNAS ID before burning. Remember to burn your games on QUALITY media and at half the rated media speed. Any more questions you can have about www.modchip.ca I suggest you ask them. I've dealt with them myself, had no problems but like I said, don't expect it to be at your house on a certain day.

Said to be shipped within 18-48 hours. And I don't have a mailbox, I mean I do, but it's "Canada Post" for letters, and it's small. And I did give the credit card ##.

That site is charging WAY too much for them disks. You can buy them for $24 or even less if you search.

Did you buy anything from any of your searches?

You cannot tell if it's 100% new or anything. Besides, $29 U.S. isn't much differect from what you stated.

Look this the way iyou should see it, think of how much money your going to save backup you games and worrying about all that bs you will get it in mail, plus it is the cheapest way to play backups unless you want a mod chip which is about 115$ with instalation and shipping and no I don't work for swapmagic and telling you this so you could buy it, if it was for that everyone here would have some share in profits of swapmagic.

I prefer modchips, but I think you'll be fine with Swap Magic. Try to not be so paranoid. I know it's hard, I obsessed alot over my PS2/Xbox when I first got them back, and still do. But, you seem to have bought from a reputable site, worry about reading guides to backup games, quality DVD Media and the correct procedure for using Swap Magic. That way you'll be ready to go when it arrives. You're fortunate, there's a lot of resources available now that weren't around even a year ago. When I first started backing up games, I had to pick through a lot of BS info. Took me two weeks to figure out Breaker Pro and a Slide Card, there were no good guides for it, and noone here helped me. I decided then to try to make a difference in the mod community. What did you order with it, flip top, slide card, Slim Tools? When you order a product on Friday/Saturday, it's usually not shipped til Tuesday, unless you pay overnight shipping, which is a total ripoff on the weekend. The cheapest I've seen Swap Magic and a case mod for is around $20, so you didn't pay much more than that, and if you ordered from a good site, a couple extra dollars is worth some peace of mind. Personally, I always put service and ratings ahead of money. I'd rather pay a little more and know what I'm getting. Take a chill pill, do some reading, and you'll be backing up games in no time.

listen Tokijin, I only bought swap magic, nothing with it, no flip top, no slimtools no magickeys etc. I've modded Ps2 with Tussie and Tape. That's it, but I voided my warranty.

That's ok.

That's fine. The tissue tape mod can heat up the tape, so you'll have to retape the sensors occasionally as it will melt. It's probably a good idea to pick up some magic keys or a flip top down the road. What's the Media ID on those Fuji DVD+R's?

91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/
Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

Yea, I just cannot wait to play a back-up of a Japanese game that ppl in U.S. argue that it won't get released here. Oh well, and the ps2 itself is NTSC.

Oh, about the ID, which ones are good? Oh btw, the Fujifilm ones are listed in the Dogbomb's list, I can't imagine how much time he would spend at making that nice list.

I should change my name to 'Chakra. Seriously or Tenseiga or something :P. Is there any way to change my name?

'Chakra sounds nice, call me that :D.

Tokijin, oh btw you can call mem *teh*Sesshy*Dog.

[sighs] I am going to Toronto tomorrow, hope it helps to kill some time, cuz I can't wait for swap magic. Oh, I am going to visit a Chinese toy store, They got Gundam Seed figures directly from Bandai. Jeez, $100+ for some 3 inch gundam lol?

I remember about a year ago I looked at ur FAQ:

Q. --> Tokijin why are you so cool?
A. --> A man with lots of social time.

very funny.

Thanks btw.

You sure Swap Magic will work?

It's a downloaded game. It works on the emulator. I patched it using PAL2NTSC and burned at 4X.

I just have a question, I got this mail from Canada Post saying all that blah blah blah and Item Number or something, do you need to give to the delivery person that number?

Don't bann me, but once I did a 9x post.

Yeah try to use the edit button, now that you know where it is lol. I can't guarantee it'll work, but I would imagine so as long you use follow directions and use good burning practices. It'll take some time to figure out what speed/media your PS2 likes, getting the hang of Swap Magi etc. It won't take long, just don't panic if things don't go perfectly, this is trial and error. Stay calm, post if you have probs, and you'll be fine.

oh just 1 more.

It is suppose to be here my monday/tuesday. But I won't be at home on Monday Morning. So, what will they do if I am not at home? Set a pick-up location? And I don't have a mailbox, only a letter one, that is packed together with all of the other ones. What will they do?

And, no, I don't know where the edit button is.

Oh, I am sorry. Tokijin, about the "tape & tissue" mod I only covered 2 sensors, some people say there are 3. I covered the one above power switch, the other one is "opening up my ps2" and taping down the button.

When I open the fliptop during game play, the emulation doesn't stop. Is it good enough?

Thanks,

~'Chakra

Would you start using the edit button please? You've been told where it is umpteen times by different people, so you've no excuse! This topic would be half as long & use half as much bandwidth for the page to load if you did!!

For the last time; The edit button is in the top right of your post, next to the http link saying 'Link To This Message', and looks like this;
It even says 'message_edit' in its url when you hover your mouse over it!

thanks, I finally see the "edit" button. Though I never seen it, or my computer just loads the internet page with "errors" it's been happening lately, the links don't work etc.

Well I'm not expert on the tape and tissue mod, look the pics over again.

Tape and Tissue mod: From Pretense: If the fliptop doesn't work, just give up on it and do a tape and tissue mod. Open up your case again and tape the back sensor (toward the upper left and beneath the hinge part of the lid) with duct tape or even regular Scotch tape (I use several layers to be on the safe side), put the case back together, and stuff a small ball of tissue into the hole for the front sensor (lower right just above the power button).
Pics (Thanks to PSPness): http://www.geocities.com/pstwoslimline/tapetissue.htm
my tape and more tape

Just about the same, just a change on Censor 'A' and Censor 'B'

Censor B - http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/572/dsc010703xc.jpg
keep the top closed, while you tape down the disk stopper, using a few layers of duct tape
Fur
Censor A - http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/4342/dsc010698we.jpg
use tiny strips of duct tape to patch over the tiny censor. I used a screwdriver to help put on the tape.

Here's some additional pictures (Thanks to xhardc0re): http://www.console.com/product_ps2_pstwofix.php

[sighs] so tired now, came back from the trip on monday and it's 11 a.m.

I guess the Swap Magic was here when I was away. What do you think, today, or tuesday?

It actually said it's monday or tuesday. Hmm.

About the tape and tissue mod, I did the same as PSPness, though PS2-Menace or PSP-Menace (sorry I forgot your name really) said there were 3 sensors. As you showed me, there's only 2.

Thanks. I'll double post when the SM comes and works. :).

Bad thing is, summer is almost over and I am going to high school, no time to play games, gotta get serious if I want to get somewhere. Started learning HTML :D

Omg, I actually thought it was gonna be here tomorrow, and I didn't think it would fit into a mailbox. My dad checked it right now.

:D. The burned import worked.

Thanks. I was really shocked to see swap magic though :))))
