Every since i did the update for BIOS the fans(case fan) have been spinning faster making louder annoying noises everytime i play games and stuff. The cpu temperature gets high around 69 when the cpu usage is 100% so the fans went faster. But with the older version of bios the fans were never being fast though the pc did shut down few times probably due to overheat.

The update says soemthing about more stability is this what they mean? that the fans are getting faster whenever the temperature for the CPU is getting high..

If someone know where i can get the downgrade version , older version i would be very grateful cause i cant stand these noises

Here's the link for the upgrade

Well i think that the fan starts spining faster becouse the voltage increase or may be you are right when it gets hotter the speed increases it looks like you probably dont have enough fans for the hardwares in your case require ! About the bios update can you tell me the bios chip number or model , your bios is indicated on your motherboard ?

Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz, Radeon X700Pro 256MB PCIe, SuperMicro P4SCI ATX Motherboard, 800MHz FSB, 2 x 2GB DDR2800, GB LAN, 2 x WD 250GB SATA2 Hard Drives, Wireless Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse, LG 19" LCD.

Ye i will probably stick to this upgrade. but i ran Everest stabilty test and when the cpu was loaded to 100% the temperature was at 69-70 C. 70 c is maximum temperature for me so i wondering if i should be concerned about overheat or something

ok peeps r gonna start screaming like wow thats hot!! but im just say it calmed down

so this is what u gonna do take the heatsink off the motherboard and clean it up then put it back in u should have lower temps now and clean all the fans too anyways 70c is hot the maximum recomended is 60c on full load

Ok if the heatsink is dirty and you clean it it will put down the temperature but come on man that 69c you should feel up ur cpu with fan or something becouse right now am with the P4 3 GHZ and when normal the temperature is 25 c when it is on 100% cpu usage its on 46c and it has only one fan ! so you should probable put some fans there what you think ?

Well i didnt say that his temperature should be as my one did i and ofcourse his will be great and if he puts enough fans it could run on 48c or 50c when the fans are enough !
