psp not recognized on windows 98

since i am on vacation i have to use wat i can get my hands on here, im stuck with a windows 98 computer that got an upgrade to usb 1.0
i pluged my psp in and it wont work as plug and play, it wants the driver for my psp.
now the comp doesnt even recognize it anymore, i need help desperately, thanks 2 every1 in advance

"I finally got this to work. I noticed that 98SE was looking for drivers for "Unknown Device" instead of Usb drivers. Instead of letting it look for the best driver, I selected to display a list to choose the drivers. Underneath USB controllers, I selected "Mass Storage Driver". It installed the drivers and I now have access to my PSP's memory stick. Maybe this will help you guys too..."

jks, it recognized it but didnt install it, now weni conect it wont even recognize so i cant choose the driver anymore :{
im angre now.....hate being away from my trusty computer at home

if it was my comp id put xp on it, but im using a cheap comp that i got 4 free and it only has 64 mbts of ram. to my knoledge xp needs at least 128 to run normaly. if i get anything on google il post back, if not il just buy some speakers! i want my laptop and desktop back!

haha, that's the first time in a year i've been called a noob^^
i have good knowledge about computers( i have a grandpa who's invincible on the subject...)
and i am very familiar to most subject, and i'm 16 years so i know what people are talking about.
i have build my computer myself, overclocked it and done mods to the casing, i have got a good bunch of stuff on it, i have 4mb internet line, and i have a psp(jap version, it's one of the first 1000), GC, PS2, GB Advance, GB pocket(limited edition).
i also have four computers, two laptops, one main, and one that friends can use for LAN. (my main computer's casing is 76cm high, without the feet)
and i have been interested in games and computers since i was about 6-7 years old, and i'm now obsessed with most games, i'm also good with Photoshop, i got CS2, bought. and i got it from my uncle^^
EDIT: oh yeah, i draw too, mostly anime, but i got a long way before i'm gonne get good at it.

i also have a 12 caliber shotgun and i go birdhunting.

http://www.98-drivers.com/psp.html sux, u have to pay!! ANyways i'll try the slect USB mass thing, duz that work for everything?? I notice w/ 98 u need a sperate driver even form my 2 MP3 player of the same brand!!! Why anint it like XP with one driver??

How you get all dat sh!t?? Anywayz, you are new here, but that doesnt last too long ive been here for about a week and Im a junior member. I came here after the Bia**es at iP2P started fights w/ me and banned me for dissing them out, had good metaphors, I called sum1 a *** and she said yes I am a Doe, as ina female deer w/ glowing eyes, and I said there's a reason yur eyes are glowing! look out for that car*!
