It says it s blocking things so i suppose its going ok, just want sumone else's input to make sure

also should it be blocking this:

as my ISP is AOL and it says it is blocking "Aol Transit Data Network" should i not be blocking that.

Ignor the above post by Retro.

If you want to surf the net while your downloading then "allow" http other wise just leave it "blocked".Yes it's doing exactly as it should.Bunk aol even if it is your isp.I don't have aol and mine still says that ,that's a tcp connection not an http connection which mean it SHOULD be blocked unless you wanna get busted.Aol is a big anti-p2p advocate.

Also make sure to update the lists so you have the latest protection.Peace.

thats completly true i agree(except 4 i am stupid) but i always allow http, as u see i am in a free country, copying is legal (well its not in law) ,but even the cops buy pirated copies, we actually recently got a microsoft store that sells microsoft products ,before that it was a wreck we only used copies especially the key fckgw-rhqq2-wxrkt-blahblahblah

i just use pg2 to keep away bad pieces in bitorrent u download a rip of a movie u legally own (which is not even sold around)
then u find it all useless bad sound and picture gets cropped
why as u recived bad parts from prehaps anti p2p seeders

Man, you are odd, P2P is a big deal, dont give bunk advice. Tribal Fusion is no biggie, they just supply tracking cookies for a large portion of website. Deaprtment of Defense is an odd IP scan, that just means the gov is dl'ing illegal sh!t to lol. As far as AOL Transit Data, not a big deal either, I see that everytime I start AIM or any app that s affiliated with AOL. Just be smart, and always block http, and if you cant get onto a site that is reputible or you frequent often, just right click the IP that is being blocked, and add it to your allowed list.

Peerguardian 2 is designed to block what it should. It's on the list for a reason.Just like adaware may pick up something considered harmless but it's still in the defintion database for a reason. You might want aol connecting to you but I don't.My statement was a generalized one I didn't say "aol transit data" I said aol.

Unless your willing to tell him which ones are harmless and which ones aren't out of a list of 883367902 and counting then it's best to just tell him to block them all.Either way those connection are NOT going to contribute to download speeds and will NOT have any negative effect when blocked.I block all and have the same download speeds as when I didn't use pg at all.

I don't care if it's a tracking cookie I don't want to be tracked. Not everything is going to get you busted but keeping peer guardian around will help that was the whole point.

@retro sorry about that lol that was stupid of me I just didn't get
