Hey, can anybody list me some good converters that can convert AVI with excellent video and sound quality. It doesn't matter about the speed of converting because I have all day. Thanks

Try this. Very good quality and fast but the trial will insert a watermark in your video and runs at half speed:http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/vso_convertxtodvd_guide.cfm Other options would be a separate encoder, authoring program and burning program.
