Bought a new PSP need some help

Hey there everyone .....
just bought my First PSP and a friend told me abt how i can download games and all ... so i went to this place where the guy downgraded my PSP to 1.5 ..... now when i bought my PSP i had Nba Live 06 which now i cant play for some reason ... the guy said tht u can play most games and if it says to update say no n then u can play ... well tht doesnt work . I would like some help here on how i can play this new game that i bought with out having to worry abt the money i just dished out .
Also i was wondering if there is any Site that is not a scam site but a site where i can download games ... ppl have said tht some sites dont work and some just give u the run around . I dont know much abt ISO's and stuff like tht cuz im new to all this .. But i came across this site which is www.all4psp.com does anyone know if that is a good site ?
Or wht is the best way to download games and if i can even ever play my Nba Live 06 .. plus If i do buy new games will any of them play on it ?
I know this is a pretty long list of Questions but i would really apprieate the Help ... Thanks In Advance .....

Knight, welcome to the 1.5 homebrew club. i remember when i frist downgraded, it was tough finding what you need. so here some help ^_^
ok so you have ver 1.5 right? is the nba live 06 a UMD or is it an ISO file? in either case, you would need DEVHOOK to play it.

you can get that at the site i just gave you. install everything and follow the directions. now under your memory stick you should have folders called : iso, psp, isosplit, and isomisc. if you dont have that make it. now, if you have isos, put that in the iso folder. then under the psp folder there should be the normal subfolers; ie: games, savedata, etc. and yeah. games should have the devhook files.
ok so after you have that turn on your psp and go to the games place in the psp menu. you should find devhook. run it.
youll get a screen and set all your settings to this:
umd select - pick your iso
umd mount - iso any umd
firmwire - 2.71
cpu clock - 222/111
so yeah that's how you play an iso.
now to play your nba live 06 or any umd that needs your psp to have a firmwire greater than 1.5, run devhook again and in the umd select pick umd disc. then when you ahve everything else. click start and you should start it.
now when you finish playing your game you push home to get out right? youll notcice youll have new features, that's because the psp is emulating firmwire 2.7 which means you have all the features of 2.7 like the browser and everything. to get back to 1.5 just push the power button up and hold until the psp turns off. and viola, you have 1.5 again.
iso is an image of a psp game that you can run off of your memorystick and you can play the game just as if you had the umd.

oh yeah, that site, if it says like pay once for unlimited dl, dont its a scam. any site that needs you to pay for dl is a scam.

I will try to do this right away but one thing .... where do i put the files .........iso, psp, isosplit, and isomisc in ? like after the main menu of PSP right ? or does is go in the subfolders i.e game ? Music, savedata ? plz do let me know
very sorry im just tooo new at this i hope it all goes well u have explained it pretty darn well enough Thanks alot .....
Also after downloading the from the site i saved it to my folder n do i just run it ? or do i have to save tht in my memory stick ?

iso, psp, isosplit, and isomisc is in the MAIN menu. the sub folders would be like in the psp which would be like games and savedata. iso, psp, isosplit, and isomisc would be like right when you open the psp when you connect to the computer.
i think you run it off of your computer and you must have your psp connected to the computer in usb mode.
remember iso goes in iso folder on the main menu

So just double click on PSP folder and make the new folders iso, psp, isosplit, and isomisc in the PSP or
Dont double click on the PSP folder n just make the iso, psp, isosplit, and isomisc folders right ? ? ? ?

Im a noob too! Ive just got a 1.5 PSP, ive put umd emulatorv8.c on and i think the folders are ok but I cannot get it to work, also the demo disk does not work is this because I need devhook? what is the difference btween devhook and umd emulator?
I basically need to know what I need on the psp to play ISO and original UMD disks, and is ther any chance of a picture of the folder structure on a psp being posted?

hey there
if u look at the previous replies there is one which shows wht to do and how to load the ISO n the umd's i think tht Devhook is really good
i go it online started it n all it works like a charm for me
go up to the preious replies ull see the second one on the thread tht i had help this really did work well for me i think the devhook is better then the umd emulator !

Cheers, at the mo ive got umd emulator and daxziso on, ive got bf2 to work(252mb) bybut only after renaming it iso.dax, but cannot get fight night 3 to work even after re-naming it, plus bf2 only starts through the emulator and not dax, think ill try dev hook!

you shouldnt rename it to iso.dax.
iso.dax is a form of compression. it compresses the iso and makes it smaller.
to get the compressor go to www.psp-hacks.com and search for it
oh just on a not, i use a cso compressor cus you can use use that on devhook

Cheers all for answers.
I took daxsio off, put devhook on(really noob friendly intsall) got the cso-iso creator and compressed tekken and its working fine as are other games.
Only slight niggle when I go back after playing the game to the devhook screen on the mem card it says game corrupt and I cant get access.

go to www.psp-hacks.com and find the easy file corruptor. using that program you can fix the corrupted file
