Hello everyone i hope you can solve my troubled problem. I have never had problems backing-up dvds before using dvd-r's and playing on my sony dvd/vhs player. Now what im trying to do is convert AVI files to .vob and burn them using Nero. I thought i suceeded when i used ain AVI to convert to .vob and then Nero to burn. the burning was completed and i popped the dvd into the sony player and it says error. I put it into my computer and it plays. I dont understand?? im using the same dvds i always used so compatibilty cant be the issue here. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The .vob files may not be DVD complaint. Try to open them with DVD Shrink and re-encode. Then Shrink can use Nero to burn.
