I have followed the instructions in GR13's guide to running isos using umd emulator v0.8c down to the letter and god bless him I have managed to get Burnout Legends to work with no problems what-so-ever.

I am now trying the exact same process, with all the same settings in UMD Emulator, with Ridge Racer and having no success..

It seems to load the iso as it displays the initial 'LOADING' screen for Ridge Racer, but then it doesn't load anything from the memory stick and just hangs.

Anyone got any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Help appreciated :)

Firmware: 2.00 > 2.50 > 2.60 > 1.50 > 2.00 > 1.50

Games: GTA, WipEout Pure, Street Fighter Alpha 3

Well i say scrap UMD Emulator and give Dev Hook a shot, its way better. DL the ultimate installer from psp-hacks or blindraven.net

then load the iso with these settings
ridge racer iso
isoany
2.00>2.xx
2.7
runxmb

I know this doesn't help but you really aren't missing out on anything, in my opinion it's an extremely overated game. God forgive me for paying for that trash. :P

I am already running devhook 0.46, will that do?

you say to 'load the iso with these settings'
ridge racer iso
isoany
2.00>2.xx
2.7
runxmb

But I'm not entirely sure which options you are refering to.

The options list in devhook and settings I am usng are as follows:

UMD SELECT: Ridge Racer PAL.iso
FIRMWARE: 2.71
CPU CLOCK: 333 166mhz
BOOT SELECT: reboot XMB
FLASH ROM: flash1: > ms0: backup configfile
UMD SFO VERSION: no change

please could you post whichever of these options I need to change to get it to run?

thx
